Protecting your data is important to us

We are grateful for your interest in our company and our products and services and would like you to feel secure when visiting our website with respect to the protection of your personal data. We take protecting your personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we collect which data and how we use them.

Personal data

Personal data refers to information about your identity. This includes, for example, information such as name, address, telephone number and email address. It is not necessary for you to disclose personal data in order to use our website. In certain cases, however, we will require your name and address and other details so that we can provide the requested services. The same applies, for instance, when sending information material and ordered goods or when answering individual questions. We will advise you accordingly where this is required. Furthermore, we only store and process data that you voluntarily provide to us and, as the case may be, data that we automatically collect when you visit our websites (e.g. your IP address and the names of the pages you access, the browser you use and your operating system, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files). If you take advantage of our services, we generally only collect the data that we need to provide these services. Any further information we ask you to disclose is provided on a voluntary basis. Personal data are processed exclusively to enable us to provide the service requested and to protect our own legitimate business interests.

The purpose of collecting personal data

We will generally use the personal data you provide to respond to your enquiries, process your orders or give you access to specific information or offers. It may also be necessary, in order to maintain customer relations, for us or a service company commissioned by us to use these personal data to inform you about product offers or to carry out online surveys in order better to satisfy the needs and requirements of our customers. Of course, we will respect your wishes if you do not want to provide us with your personal data to support our customer relationship (especially for direct marketing or market research purposes).

Data that are automatically collected when you visit our website

The following data may be stored for organisational and technical reasons when you visit our website: the names of the pages you access, the browser you use and your operating system, the date and time of access, the search engines used, the names of downloaded files and your IP address. We evaluate this technical data anonymously and for statistical purposes only, enabling us to optimise our website on an ongoing basis and to make our online services even more attractive.

Cookies

When you visit one of our websites, we may place information on your computer in the form of a cookie. Cookies are small text files that are sent to your browser by a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
No personal data about the user are stored other than the internet protocol address. This information is used to recognise you automatically the next time you visit our websites and to make navigation easier for you. Cookies allow us, for example, to adapt a website to your interests or to save your password so that you do not have to re-enter it every time. You can, of course, also view our websites without cookies. If you do not want us to recognise your computer, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by selecting “do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. Please refer to the instructions provided by your browser manufacturer for instructions on how to do this. If you do not accept cookies, however, this may lead to restricted functionality of our website.

Children and adolescents

Individuals under the age of 18 should not submit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request personal data from children and adolescents and there do not collect it or pass it on to third parties.

Changes to our data protection provisions

We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this becomes necessary due to technical developments. In these cases, we will also alter the information we provide on data protection accordingly. Please therefore refer to the latest version of our data protection declaration.

This data protection declaration does not apply to external links that are provided within the framework of our website. We have no influence on the compliance of other providers with data protection and security regulations. Please therefore also check the data protection declarations provided on the websites of the other providers.
